Beautiful Day in the Neighorhood!
Seriously, I really am happy. What I noticed happening this Winter and now Spring is, it will be good weather during the week while everyone is sitting in work and on the weekends the temperture drops, it rains and snows. Then the sun comes back out on Monday...WTF! Now do you see why I'm happy? It's going to be nice on a weekend!!!
The funny thing is that I have nothing to do tonight. Only in Boston can there be nothing to do on a Friday night. I'm sure I can call around and see what's happening. But, I bet you a dollar to a bucket of shit that there isn't going to be much to choose from. Don't get it twisted...I'm all up and through Boston meaning that I know quite a few people. I belong to a few organizations and I know where the parties should be at. In all honesty, I really don't feel like going out. I'm more in a house party mood or barbeque. Those are the best parties sometimes. I don't have to walk around with a magnetic field that bounces lame as men off me. I can relax, talk shit, be my sexy self without all the hassle. Maybe I'll try to get someone to throw a few things on the grill...I don't have one :(
Chicago
I was on Robert Mack's blog reading about the good weather that Chicago is experiencing and I immediately got home sick. Anybody that knows me knows that I don't usually get home sick. I haven't lived there since 98. That's when I left for college. I didn't start getting home sick or realizing how much I missed Chicago until I moved to Boston in 2003. See, before Boston I lived in STL for 5 years while in college. I had a ball in STL...I was all up and through there, too. I was plugged into everything one way or another. I knew everyone that was anyone to know. I had my main girls. I met them in college and we pledged together in 99. SKEEEE-WEEEE MY SORORS, SKEEE-WEEEE!!!! I had a good time. Another benefit was that I could hop in the "Green Machine", I have a green Cavalier, and ride to Chicago on any given weekend and I did. I went home once a month for 5 years. It's like 300 miles...the distance from here to NYC. I still go home now that I'm in Boston, but's like every other month. Last year I went about 10 times, but so far this year I have only been once a few weeks ago and I'll be there in May. A plane ticket to Chicago can run from $200-$300!!! That's a nice piece of change. When I was in STL it cost me about $50 (The price of gas there and back), and I could take all my dirty clothes home and wash for free...LOL!
Well, I'm trying to get back permenantly. Either there or MIA. So, wish me luck because me and Chicago are like this (Crossing my fingers). We're tight! Ain't nothing like living on the Southside of Chicago...trust me!!!
