Another Long Weekend...
As with every trip I take, I am no where near ready. I still have to get clothes out the cleaners, get my eyebrows arched, nails repainted (I chipped my French Pedicure), hair done, and I need to pack. ***Sigh*** The life of a procrastinator. All is good, though...I'll handel it.
Do you guys ever shop at TJ Maxx? I just got hipped to the savings that store has to offer on name brand merchandise. I went shopping yesterday to pick up a new Large Suitcase. I broke the zipper on mine when I got back from my last Miami trip. I still have the medium and the small, but I needed to replace the large. So, everyone was telling me to stop at TJ's. See, I never shopped there before or places like it...including department stores, because I don't have the time and patience required to find the "good" stuff. Yesterday, I was on shopping fire. Not only did I purchase a suitcase ($120 Nine West green with brown leather trim suitcase for $70) I bought 3 pairs of shoes, a purse, 2 shirts, a skirt and a Tommy Hilfiger Queen size sheet set for $25. I love it! That's my problem. I can't just go in and get what I need. I always make a detour to financial hell...
So, I went to the dentist Wednesday to start the procedure of getting this tooth crowned. I had a root canal some time back and never got it crowned. I had used up my dental insurance for the year, so I had to wait until it replenished when the calander year started over. The crown costs $900 and insurance covers half. At the time I needed it I only had $200 of insurance left for the year whichs means I would have to pay $700. I decided to wait it out. Thankfully, I have a little extra money to burn, so it's time to finishing perfecting my smile. I mean these are the only teeth I got. Aside from that, one of my fillings have been bothering me. They redid it...free of course. Hell. I just got it last year.
Let me say...I HATE THE DENTIST!!! With a passion. I almost slapped the hygentist with her rough ass. I had to get an xray done for them to see the filling and the root canaled tooth. She jabbed the thing in my mouth that seperates your teeth for them to see. Then when the dentist was working in my mouth she was scratching my gums with the suction device they use to suck up spit and water. I had grab her hand and tell her straight up..."you're being too rough". I wanted to warn her because my hands have a mind of their own. I just be slapping people and I didn't want to back slap this ditzy white girl.
As you see, I haven't been doing anything much since the last post....
Oh, but I did find out that I have a cousin here in Boston. He's been here for the last 7 years and I never knew that. He tracked me down yesterday. I'm so excited to see him. I haven't seen him since we were kids...we're two years apart. Our grandmothers are sisters. It's a shame, but I wouldn't be able to point him out in a line-up. LOL! As you can see, we didn't grow up together. He grew up in Arkansas where my grandmother and her family is originally from. His grandmother and her family never left, whereas my grandmother, grandfather and few of my grandmother's other sisters and brothers moved to Chicago, back in the day. I'm just glad that I have family here who is doing big things. I would tell you what he does, but I won't. Hell, you don't even know what I do!!! LOL! So, we're getting together next week to catch up. I can't wait to meet Cuz!!!
That's all for now...I'll hollar at you good peeps next week. I don't get back until Wednesday. I am leaving the laptop at home. No interruptions or contact with people that are not on the island. Don't call me or text message me unless you want me to meet you on the beach or you're on the ferry on your way over and want to meet up. You feel me?!
Until next time,
Smooches :)
