Tired Tuesday...

I am sitting at my desk, after quitting hours, tired as hell! I have had meeting after meeting after meeting. You see I'm still at work. I wanted to carve out a few moments to jot some things done, though.

First: Thanks everyone for your suggestions and motivational replies. I think I am going to take the advice of everyone that said FUCK THEM! Read on playa!

Missy & Roycee: Click on the Site Meter at the bottom of the page. It should take you to the site I got mine from and you can set one up from there.

Rob: Thanks for checking on me. I appreciate that. Although, you never texted me back! I guess you had your hands full with all that new booty! LOL!

Reesie: Don't forget to tell me how it's going...

BZ: Girl I had a blast Saturday. We have to do it again sometime. As a matter of fact, you're comign out tonight...right? Also, glad you liked Hershey...

I have done absolutely nothing for my party. I haven't purchased anything, cleaned anything...nothing. All I know is that I have about 50 people coming over...LOL! This should be interesting on so many levels. And, you know that 50 is really going to be 60-70. People always gotta bring people...LOL!

Why is it when people are unhappy in their lives they try to start shit with you? Case and point: Saturday after I made it home from a night out with my roommate and BZ and Hershey, who decided to show up out the blue with his boys, Hershey called and I went over his house. On my way out the door and out of my roommates room, where I was before I left the house, I asked her to lock the top lock. My keys were in the bottom of my purse underneath my wallet, makeup case, tank top, pajama pants, and toothbrush. Why did this heffa come texting me talking about we need to talk? So, I called her concerned. Do you know she had the nerve to tell me that she didn't appreciate me telling her to lock the top lock when she was already in the bed! You know I was pissed, right? I told her flat out...and I quote, "I know you're lashing out at me because something is going on with you right now and you may be feeling alone especially since I left. Because I know ain't no way in hell you just texted me twice over some bullshit and you know I'm over here in la-la land. So, before you make me an enemy over petty shit, you better let me be a friend and just open up about what's really bothering you." I shut it down. We had other words and she apologized and we laughed. See, she has some issues and she's unhappy about her single status amongst other things. So, I was able to recognize hurt when I heard it. I've lashed out unneccesarily, too in the past. No harm, no foul. But funny as hell!

I know I have peaked your interest by mentioning Hershey...Nothing much to report. Just another 2nd base night at his crib, if you get my drift! We were suppose to catch a movie Saturday, but I dropped my phone in the toliet...again, and we missed the movie. He and I were running around trying to get me a new phone.

***Commercial break***

I love this phone more than my old one...it's a Sam.sung Black Jack! Look it up! PDA's are the best!

***The End***

Anyway, since I had plans with the girls for 8 we were too late to catch a movie and I still be able to meet them on time. So, he dropped me off at home, but on the way there the conversation came up about us dating again. Long story short, he basically tells me that he is deliberately going to slow us down. No matter how much he wants to see me, he's going to put some distance between us. He doesn't want to get too close too fast without being 100% sure that he can live without kids. Ok. I got out the car calm, cool and collected. I bid his ass farewell without a hug or a kiss. I walked in the house talking to myself out loud and everything. "Who does this MF think he is?" "Does he know who I am?" "I got news for him, he will not hear from me ever again!" I was pissed. So, I go to M.atch with the girls and tell them what I just told you. We're finishing up dinner and who walks through the door? Exactly. Looking all bashful and smiling. All my angry thoughts fly right out my head because this was no coincedence. Him and his boys squeeze in our booth and everyone makes sure we're next to one another in the middle. He tells me that he had called and texted me to see if I would still be there. Of course, I didn't hear my phone. He admits that it bothered him that I got out the car and he wanted to smooth things over with us, so he decided to find me. ***CHEESE*** The night was one of comedy. LOL! His friends are a mess. So, imagine my surprise when he comes calling me after I made it in the house asking if I would like to come over...LOL! Men. Make up your mind!

While I am over here typing this Red Fez just stopped by my desk. He doesn't work in this building, but he takes German classes over here. Yes, my company offers free German classes...LOL! He just so happened to be lost in the building and passed my cube. Damn, that man is fine! Some co-workers are planning a ski-trip and he's going, too. If I go this should be interesting. LOL!

I know this post is all out of chronological order. Bear with me, though. My mind isn't thinking streamlined today.

Before the VP of my Channel left he told me to have a good day and he hopes my ears haven't been burning...HMMMMM!

Sunday, I had brunch with another group of girls seperate from Saturday. It was nice. I love hanging out with them. A few are married, a few are engaged, so I'm living vicariously through them and I get a real look at black love...you know what I mean. But, why is one of these chicks getting married in September and her dress is Vera Wang??? Must be nice. Both her and her fiance' are doctors, so they can definitely afford it, but damn! I kind of feel bad that I didn't invite any of them to the party, though. The guest list is already too big and besides, 2 are on call Saturday or whatever the doctor lingo is. 3 will be out of town and that leaves 4 more. They 'll be ok. I can't invite everyone to every thing. Although, I am going to one of their Superbowl parties...hmmm.

Ummm. I think that sums up all I have to say today.

Kick Rocks

Is there a way to ban people from looking at your blog? I know I can make it invite only, but I don't want to limit myself to only those I already know. However, there are people that I don't want reading my blog. I feel like they are limiting me. There is so much I want to say, but I don't want them in my business like that. They take what I write, respond to it on their blogs and/or make it a conversational piece at their "National Dynasty Fest".

What sparked this is Honey Libra's blog. She is so candid and open with her writing. I feel like she's taking the words right out of mouth at times. Yet, I have to censeor myself over here because I don't want So and So sending out their negativity or even if their not hating... I don't want them to have that much access to what's going on with me. We don't talk on the phone or via email/text. They are not a part of my every day life nor will they be a part of my past when I retell it...Just to show you their level of significance. I'm flattered that they read, but when I check my site meter I get sick of seeing their IP addresses. Betcha didn't know I was tracking you, huh? Well, I am.

The more I blog and read other people's blogs I feel like I'm getting closer to those that read. We share each other's every day lives...more often than not. So, I'm getting sick of people having a piece of me when that chapter of our friendship or whatever it was is over. I know one particular person is going to take this to heart, but trust you are not the only person that reads this blog...male and female...I'm talking about. Get over yourself. I mean, I write something totally unrelated to anything remotely dealing with them and they automatically think I'm refering to them when I use an example. Then, I have to hear about some smart ass retort that was directed at me. WTF! Now I know why Janet sang the song, "I betch you think this song is about you"!

And, to those of you that may think I'm talking about you when I'm not. We may not be as cool as we once were or talk like we used to. But, there is always love in Ming's Dynasty. I appreciate you keeping up with my goings ons :) You know who you are because we talk, you're invited to my parties, I ask how you're doing and vice verse. I'm talking to the people who shitted on me in some form or fashion and they still want to keep up with me.

I know this is all my fault, though. I have no one to blame, but myself. I shouldn't have given them the address or better yet, even told them I had a blog. But, we share mutual friends...every last person I'm talking about. So, all they have to do is click the link...you know what I mean. And, I refuse to subject myself to the inconvienence of changing my blog. You leave because I'm not! Damn!

I just want to talk freely. I'm getting sick of keeping so much in.

So, again I ask...How can I block people from my blog?

Super Bowl Shuffle?

GO BEARS!!!!

I am ecstatic that the Bears are finally in the playoffs. I am even more ecstatic that they are going against Dungy! 2 black coaches battling in the Super Bowl on the first Sunday of Black History Month! Who would have thunk. Then you got OB running for president, even though I don?t think he's ready, but that's another post all together.

What's going on with me?

Chilling like a villain. I know that was wack, LOL! But, I'm feeling really silly right now as I type this from my desk.

***Weekend in Review***

Hershey, Hershey, Hershey.

***The End***

LOL! Just kidding, although we did hang out Friday and Saturday. We did the movie at the crib thing on Friday and Saturday we did dinner, J. Foxx concert and Blue Wave (a club).
I never paid attention to just how fine J.amie Fo.xx really is. I mean, post forehead hair plugs. Don't act like you didn't know he had his hairline pulled down over his forehead. Check out some old J.amie Fo.xx show reruns and then look at a picture of him now. You'll see. Anyway, he looks good. The concert was half comedy show and half music. I must admit the comedy portion was much better than the music. And, I was so tired of him saying he won an Oscar. After you applaud 5 times, you don't want to hear it anymore! We get it... you won an Oscar! All in all, I had a good time and I'm glad I went.

The ish hit the fan between Hershey and me at the very end of the night. The whole SC thing came up again, through no fault of his own...not entirely, anyway. I feel us getting closer, but I also feel like he's impeding our progress.

***Long Story Short***

I didn't want to end the night. I wanted to go back to his place, curl up and watch another movie. You know, wake up together. He didn't think it was a good idea because he was afraid of what MIGHT happen and he's not ready to take our relationship to another level until he has worked everything out in his head.

Ok, cool...I get that. BUT...

1. We're not having sex! I'm not ready for that, period! Last time I had sex, the experience scarred me. He wasn't worth it and neither was the sex. He completely overstated his position in life, his morals, his relationship status, and everything else that came out his mouth. So, I want to take my time.

2. You are conciously keeping me at arms length stopping our natural progression.

3. How long are we going to be on hold? Seriously! We spend damn near every weekend together, which is prime real-estate, I might add. The more time we spend together we're naturally going to get closer or grow apart, but I don't see the latter happening. So, again, how long do I wait?

So, I basically told him that if he intends on ending things in the future he might as well end them now because I won't allow myself to be stringed along. In all fairness, I know he's struggling and thinking about what to do. I also know that he likes me a great deal. But, this isn't about him. It isn't even about us, because we haven't made it that far. It's about me. End of story. I have to do what makes me happy and if he isn't the man for the job, then we have to move on!

Of course, when I paraphrased the above, he wouldn't let me get out the car. He couldn't believe that I had just given him an ultimatum and that I was willing to walk away from him and the situation. He's not ready for that to happen. He just wants a little time to resolve within himself the choices that are laid in front of him. My biggest fear is that he'll look up 6 months from now and realize life without kids is not a possibility.Where would that leave me? Alone and dejected. Even though I've done more research and discovered there is a 50/50 chance the child will have SC. So, all is not lost.

Needless to say, we ended up spending then night together after he convinced me not to leave. We went back to his place, watched a movie On-Demand and fell asleep. See, how easy that was? Damn!

From this point forward the ball is exclusively in his court. I'm going to sit back, relax and let him have the space he needs to be okay with whatever decision his heart, mind, and spirit leads him to.

I'm already okay with it.

Taking a Big Breath

I got to before I start this post. It has been almost a week since I really wrote anything. Work has had a sistah staying late at the office and not really finding time to blog. Then after work I always have something to do leaving me tired when I make it home. So, bare with me because this may be a long post.

Here goes nothing...

***Weekend in Review***

Me and Hershey spent Friday evening together. My friend, Netflix, sent me some more movies. This time we watched a Woody Allen movie, Crimes and Misdemeanors. FYI: Woody Allen is one of my favorite directors and I think he's a great actor. As a matter of fact, I just recieved one of his classics, Annie Hall. I can't wait to watch that with Hershey...who is slowly becoming my movie buddy...LOL! While we watched movies we ate take out from Outback. He is spoiling me with the simple gestures. After we finished our meal and as I was putting my fork down he asks if he can take my plate. Cool. So, he grabs my plate and his plate leaving his hands full. So, I'm thinking to myself that I'll just grabs the glasses. You know, help. He gave me the dirtiest look. Of course, I called him on it. I'm like, "You're mad that I helped aren't you?" He responds, "Oh, you could tell?" Me, "Yes, I caught your look." Him, "I told you I had this. Let me handle things." OOOOKKKK. A girl could get used to this...LOL! Although, the devil on my shoulder is telling me not to get too excited because something has to be wrong. Right? I mean, I've always been told that if something is too good to be true it usually is. I will admit that one problem has reared it's ugly little head though....SICK.LE CE.LL! We can't have kids. He has the disease and I carry the trait. We've brushed the topic and decided to continue getting to know one another. If the spirit moves us toward commitment then we'll re-evaluate it then. Truth be told I'm okay without having any more kids naturally. Been there, done that and have a daughter. So, I'm cool adopting. Hershey is another story. He wants to father a child or he at least always thought he would. So, it's one day at a time. Although, as the weeks pass we are talking more and spending more and more time together. :)

Anyway... we watched the above mentioned movie and Dog Day Afternoon. Well, Dog Day watched us because he and I both dozed off on his sofa...LOL!

Saturday, my roommate and I ordered pizza, bought a few bottles of wine and watched The Lake House. Thanks Netflix! That was a really good movie and the concept was brillant. I suggest that movie to all the ladies out there. I won't even attempt to explain how 2 people 2 years apart can fall in love...you'll have to watch it and see.

Sunday, after lounging around the house all day I finally got up the energy to hit the streets. I was the only person in the country that had to work on MLK's b-day, so the streets were popping. I grabbed my roommate and we did the damn thing. I had a blast...as usual. I love hanging out with my peeps. So much love between us. After the club, me and my boy B hit an after hours Chinese joint. Either the food was really good or I was really full on liquor, cuz that shit was great! Liquor loosens the lips and I ended up telling him how I felt about his relationship. Let me give you some background on me and B's friendship. He is one of my best male friends in the world. I have been knowing him since I've been in Boston and we just bonded like that. I have his best interest at heart and him mine. So, I wasn't throwing shade, it was concern. See, B is 30 and he is actively seeking marriage. He has made it known to our crew that if his girl sticks around to the year mark he's going to make that move. He's a serial monogamous and most of his relationships fizzle after 6 months. Now, his girl is okay looking, great personality, educated, good job...the works, yet there is something about her that doesn't sit right. There is something about their relationship that doesn't register. I can't put my finger on it, but I did express my concern. Mind you it wasn't unwarranted. He brought the topic up. I just told him how I felt. He has done the same to me in the past and he was on the money. Besides, he knows it came from the heart and not out my ass. So, we'll see what happens.

***The Slave Quarters...The J.O.B***

Work has been kicking my azz! I am up to my armpits in projects. But, I love it! I haven't left work before 7 every day this week. And, the only reason I left at that time is because I had plans afterward. Please don't let me turn into a workaholic. :( Not a good look.

I did have a positive on the work front, though. One of the Sales Managers called me up Tuesday and asked me if my career aspirations were still the same because she is about to start lobbying to get a position created and she thinks I would be great for it. And, it's doing what I've been working so hard to break into! Here was the best part of the conversation: She asked me if I would move back to Chicago to do it!!! LOL! God is good...all the time! This conversation coupled with the conversation I just had with my boss... Man! So, we'll see what happens. I will definitely keep you guys posted...

Oh yeah, I went out to eat with Red Fez Wednesday. He's cool as hell. We had good conversation, a few laughs...nothing big.

Now, I'm sitting over my boy G's house, washing clothes and watching "How to be a Player"...Classic.

Until next time...

TGIF!

Whew! I'm glad it's Friday. Remember what my Monday was like...And, I won't even mention my Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!

I know I haven't talked much about my self-imposed fast. That's because I really don't have much to say about it other than I am still only eating Chicken and Fish. I even took it a step further and only ate Vegetables and Fruit for a week after the New Year. I couldn't hear God enough. I didn't feel like I was making any real progress. So, I had to be a little extreme, but realistic. As soon as I touched Chicken after that week I got sick! The body is no joke. I haven't been right since. Not to mention, my stomach has shrunk, so I can't really hold anything and I'm not as hungry either. To be honest, I don't even have the desire to eat beef or pork anymore. Although, I must admit that I miss Turkey!

3 slices of deli Honey baked Turkey on Wheat bread with cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Ummmm...I can taste it.

Anywhooo...I'll have to get over it. It's like when I stopped smoking weed. After some time had passed I was afraid to pick up a blunt. As a result, I've remained Marijuana free for a very long time and have no intentions on indulging again. That's what's happening with this meat thing. I'm afraid to eat beef or pork. I know I'm silly.

I'm glad that I did it, though. It seems as if things are coming together. Everywhere I look or every conversation I have there seems to be another kernel of info in it for me. Seriously! I have been going through some career changes. I'm in a transitional phase of life. I feel like it's time to start a new chapter in life. You know how you just get that nudge in your spirit? Well, my spirit is Harlem shaking, so I know I'm on the cusp of some major decisions. Not to mention the fact that I've come to a crossroads in my career and in my parental life.

I was talking to my boss yesterday and it seemed like God walked in the office and took over her mouth. Everything that has been on my mind about this program I'm in, my next steps with the company, my current position...it seems like she addressed all of it and I didn't even mention any of it. I left that office with a renewed spirit thanking God. Then my HR rep contacts me asking me to do lunch with her today. She mentioned that she wanted to see how things are going for me. She knows that her and my company is in a sink or swim situation with me, if you know what I mean. They have invested a lot of money in me in this program, which ends in March, and it would be a shame if I walked away and took all of this knowledge and experience with me. I?m already in talks with another company. We'll see what happens.

***On another note***

I'm looking forward to spending time with Hershey this evening. We have been conversing all week over email. Nothing too much. Just a few Hey Handsome's here, and few Hey Beautiful's there. Beautiful is slowing becoming my nickname. It's generic, but I'l take it over Boo!

Check this out...

Jam.ie Fox.x is coming to Boston in a few weeks to do a comedy show/concert, so I figured I'd get me and Hershey some tickets. You know, spend a little money on him for a change. I believe in giving, too. So, I gauge his interest through an email first, making sure he was a Jamie fan. He is. Then I tell him that he's coming to town and I was going to look into getting us tickets. Would he like to go? Do you know what he said???? "Yeah, if you allow me to pay. You know how I am about that." WOW! So, I try to explain that I just wanted to do something nice, but if he feels that way then cool. He promptly responds that he'll pick up the tickets. Do you, Bruh!

Now, he has told me before that a woman paying for anything is a pet peeve of his because he wasn't raised like that. So, if he can't foot the bill, for whatever reason, he doesn't even want to go. Talk about ego! I was shocked because nowadays men act like bitches, expecting you to wait on them hand and foot. Their pissed off if you don't reach for the bill or open their door! My roommate and her last guy ended things because he felt she never paid for anything. He invited her to Aruba and expected her to buy her ticket, and then when they got there he complained about how she wouldn't pay for anything. LOL! I personally think he had that Har.vard complex, though. I digress. Don't get me wrong, not all men are cheap, selfish bastards. I have quite a few male friends that take care of me ALL THE TIME when we're out. They are perfect gentlemen. ( I just wanted to throw that out there).

I guess in the future I'll have to surprise him. You know, buy the tickets and then say, "Guess what I have tickets to?" Or, tell him in advance that I have a surprise for him and to just be ready. I will admit it's refreshing to finally date someone that I feel really has control of the situation. You know what I mean? When we're together I really feel like I?m with a man that's anticipating my every need. I love it. Allowing me to be the woman and not have to MAN-UP for both of us. I'm going to refrain from doing my "Happy Dance" though. I don't want to jinx myself. Even if he has made it pass the 30 day mark! :)

Hope you guys have a good weekend!

Hangover Jibber Jabber

Today I have the worst headache. I was late to work. I can't focus and have so much to do today. This is not the day to have a headache. I've drank a cup of coffee and taken a few pills...800 milligram Ibuprofens to be exact and still no relief. I want to go home and lie on my couch and watch Jud.ge Mat.his. Not going to happen, though.

I am missing 2 of my favorite hats. I tore my room up yesterday looking for them. They have vanished in thin air. I called my roommate, who is in LA, to ask her if she seen them. I know she was looking at the phone like, "No she didn't just call me to ask me that". Well, I did. Hell, she took my suitcase without asking. I won't rest until I find them. I mean, how do, not 1, but 2 hats disappear? They aren't socks. Only socks do that!

I have so much work to do today and I don't want to do any of it. My head hurts too bad to focus. See, lesson to the wise - DO NOT DRINK ON A TUESDAY! Grey Goose is the devil!

Congrats to my boy on his new home purchase! Every one is just making moves and I feel like I'm just standing still. I know I'm on the cusp of something big, but damn. I want to metaphorically push the universe into action. Notice, I didn't say I wanted to rush God...that's blasphemous.

I love you guys. You make me feel interesting when I think my life boring. I know you're scratching your head thinking, "What is she talking about? She is always up to something." I have a few insecurities that stem from my childhood. I always think no one cares about me and what I'm doing. That's why I don't open up to people. But, you all have proven me wrong. The truth has been revealed. It will never happen again.

I smell Alize. No, I do. Don't laugh. I don't even drink Alize.

Why do Gay people, men in particular, have all the neat beauty products? I go into my co-workers office, he's gay, and he is applying this hand cream that smell delicious. I applied some and it has my hands feeling as soft as a baby's bottom. Maybe that's what I smell. He has candles lit in his office, lamps on instead of the overhead lighting, portraits on the wall and everything.

This chick sitting next to me talks so loud. I just want to reach in her cube and stuff a sock in her mouth! Or maybe a hat.

Does anyone know how to operate Photo.shop 9.0 CS2? I have no idea. I have two left hands when it comes to this stuff. Luckily, this intern brought me the tutorial today. He just sent me an email. Why would my company give me the program, but not have the tutorial? Stupid. That would be too much like right!

Why does He keep making references to me? Call if I'm on you're mind, which you can't deny that I am because you keep talking about me or too me. I'm not as upset with you as I was before. I may even take the kiss on the forehead, even though you seem to like the idea of kissing my ass. Yes, I have implemented your advice and I am saving more. I opened up that second account in anticipation of the added responsibility. Thanks for caring.

With that... I'm out.

Miserable Monday

The weekend is over. No more holiday short weeks in my near future. Unfortunately, I don't get MLK day off. Drats! My next company recognized holiday isn't until April 16th, Patriots Day! So, to me this is the hardest day back to work...there's no end in sight...LOL! And, it's raining!

As usual I had a full weekend. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, but I feel like I'm always on the go. I recently made the comment that I need a vacation. My girl looks at me as says, "You just got back!" I need a vacation from the vacation. Have you ever felt that way? I go and go and go and then I crash. I feel a crash coming on. LOL! I have 8 Evites for the remainder of this month alone. I'm truly blessed because not everyone has friends, associates, acquaintances or even the desire to get off their asses to do something. So, I'm not complaining...I'm just observing. What's weird is that if I'm just sitting at home watching Lifetime or chilling I feel like a bum. I feel like life is passing me by and I should be out doing something. I'm so hard on myself. The true life of a natural born Extrovert. I always have to be on the go, yet I'm tired as hell. *sigh*

Friday was 1st Friday's at A.qua...nothing new there. It was also my girl Rachel's book release party. She did a book signing from 9-11 in partnership with 1st Friday's. Her name is Ra.chel Sk.err.itt and the book is titled, "N.o M.ore L.ies". You should go.og.le her and check it out. Below is a picture of her at the beginning of the night with her book while we were still setting everything up. The next picture is of her and I after the signing was over and we were getting our party on. I can't say how good the book is or anything because I haven't read it, yet. But, I will say that her first book was great! So, check it out!

Hershey was at 1st Friday"s, too. Here is a picture of the back of us getting our dance on...LOL! I did that to tease you guys :)

Yeah, we're still dating. We went to dinner Sunday and watched a few movies at my house afterward. I am a Net.flix junky. Have you guys ever seen Wai.st De.ep? That movie with Ty.rese? It's actually pretty good. We also watched this Senegalese movie from 1966. It was a black and white movie complete with subtitles. It was really interesting. It's supposed to be a critically acclaimed movie recognized as one of the shaping works of African cinema. So, we watched it as if we were film students...LOL! We tried to interpret the movie and point out ways this movie possibly shaped cinema and how it could have influenced anything...LOL!

Saturday I went to a M.I.T dinner with my cousin. It was cool. I enjoy meeting different people and these people were definitely interesting. I think the food made me sick though. I had the run's Sunday morning. I know, TMI! But, it's true. I was in the bathroom for a while!

Here we are, back at Monday looking to do it all over again.

So, how was your weekend?

Happy New Year...Week!

I couldn't say just Happy New Year anymore since the 1st passed already.

I hope all is well in the Blogshere. I haven't had the opportunity to really check out any blogs. I'm sure I have a lot to catch up on, though. I can only imagine...LOL!

How was my Holiday? I never thought you'd ask...Well....

For starters, my daughter is doing wonderfully! I took her clothes shopping and she could barely fit a size 14 in kids jeans. One pair of jeans I bought her were a size 2 in womens. She is definitely built like her MaMa on what will be a 5'7 or 8 frame. I mean, the girl is nearly my height with a size 8 foot! Damn, kids grow up fast. I can't even imagine having a daughter that's taller than me. But, what can I expect? Her dad is 6'6!

This trip I reconnected with so many people from Highschool. Christmas Eve I ran into my boy Charles at Chromium, who put me in touch with Water. Water was one of my best friends and we lost contact around 2001 or 02. So, I was ecstatic that he and her still keep in touch. I called her as soon me and my Line Sister left Chromium headed to The Dragon Room. She knew who I was as soon as I spoke. We hooked up on Friday after Christmas to shoot the shit and catch up. Damn I miss my girl. While I was at The Dragon Room I ran into Monnie. Her mother and my mother were bestfriends back in the day. They still keep in touch, but don't hang like that anymore. Anyway, Monnie and I became friends and then ended up at the same high school. I haven't seen her since the late 90's, I think. So, imagine my surprise to run into her. See, this type of stuff makes me miss Chicago and makes me want to hurry up and move back. I get all homesick and what not.

While in Chicago I also went to see Dre.am G.irls with my boy J. I must admit that I was captivated by the quasi-musical. Jen.ni.fer Hud.son got a standing O and Be.yonce got applause after she sang Listen. It was a really good movie, but I have to be honest...J. Hud.son brought the movie to life....her and E.d.d.i.e M. Without those two the movie wouldn't have been half as good. I recommend you all check it out if you haven't already.

Saturday I hooked up with my girl Shorty Doo-Wop and went to a Mafia Party. I had a ball! I am definitely throwing my own Mafia Party in Boston. I'm thinking Feburary 3rd. I'll have to synchronize my watch with my roommate to make sure she's available. I know some of you are wondering what a Mafia Party is... Basically, some people are Mafia, some people are Citizens, one person is the Sheriff and another person is the Doctor. The Mafia are trying to kill the Citizens, the Sheriff and the Doctor. The Citizens, the Sheriff and the Doctor are trying to find out who the Mafia is and kick them out the village. Nobody knows who is what. It's a lot of fun. I can't stress that enough. Anywhere between 15 and 30 people can play at once and each game takes about an hour. So, I'm going to be the "narrator" or "moderator" and throw the party. This should be a blast! I'll keep you posted.

New Year's Eve....(drum roll please).... was WACK!

I spent NYE in the bed doped up on medicine. That's right. I was in the house sick. I couldn't even get out the bed and I had a 9 o'clock flight the next morning. I was so pissed! Oh well, there will be others. Let's just hope that old saying isn't true because I'll be damned if I spend my year in the house missing out on all the fun!

I made it back to Boston Monday afternoon sick as a dog. I slept the entire day and took medicine. I went to work Tuesday, but I dont know how I made it through the day. I had a stuffy head, sore throat, phlem all in the chest, with a stuffy nose and my entire body ached. So, yesterday I stayed home and layed on the couch all day and slept. Every time I woke up I drank a glass of OJ and went back to sleep. I ate a bowl of soup at about 6 in the evening and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning with my head in a Nyquil box! LOL! I will admit I feel better though. Much better! Good enough to finally write.

Oh, yeah...All I ate was Chicken the entire trip. As a matter of fact, all I've eaten since the 1st is veggies and fruit. I could use a juicy steak, though. LOL!

So, how was your holiday? Wait, don't tell me...I'll be by your spot to see...

Smooches :)
