You Can Find Me in The AAAAA...

I made to ATL last night at about 10:30. I started leaning wit it and rocking wit it as soon as I got off the plane. LOL!

This guy that works with me in our African American Network (group we have within the company) picked me up from the airport. Of course, we got turned around leaving the airport. Mapquest and their suspect ass directions! I know ATL is fast paced and upwardly mobile, but I still felt uncomfortable being lost at 11 at night in the south. This is the south!

I finally made it to the hotel. I'm staying at the Omni and the CNN Center for those of you that know ATL. I packed everything, but the kitchen sink, so imagine my relief when the bell hop immediately came out to grab my bag. Especially after he told me that we were in the South Tower and they close the front desk at 10, so we have to walk allll the way to the North tower to check in. If I had to carry my bag they would have found me somewhere between the North and the South laid out on the floor with my bag on top of me. So, me and the talkative Bell hop make the trek across the hotel to the other tower. I must admit the Omni is impressive in it's decor, but I was less impressed when I made it to my room.

After leaving the front desk and being told that my room was actually in the South Tower...WTF...me and the talkative bell hop walk to my room. I open the door and we walk in double beds (I'm suppose to have a king) and half eaten food on the table and a blanket and towel on one of the beds. What the hell! So, immediately the bell hop gets on the phone and complains and they immediately give him another room number. We walk to my new room that he now has to open for me with his "skeleton key". You know that made me uncomfortable right. I went through a very tramatic event when I was living in STL that I have yet to blog about, so seeing him with access to my room sent a chill down my spine. I asked him about it and he said that he had access to all rooms. Eyebrow goes up. So, we drop my stuff and head back down to the front desk to get my new key. Mr. Talkative is telling me how he's about to get off and go to another job, so you know I'm thinking about him going back to my room and stealing my laptop or worst...popping in on my while I sleep. I'll tell my STL story one day when I'm ready to share. Anyway. When I get to the front desk to get my key...Mr. Talkative didn't come back with me...I bombarded the guy with a bunch of questions about his ability to get in my room. He did very little to reassure me that Mr. Talkative was trust worthy. He actually looked at me like I was crazy. Which I probably am. I mean, I'm sure it's common practice for them to have access to rooms, but this is the first time I saw it with my own eyes. I know they have keys to clean, etc, but out of sight out of mind. Needless, to say I put the extra lock on the door that night.

You guys should be proud of me. Instead of going back down to the bar where it seems a party had commenced, I unpacked all my belongings, took a shower and got in the bed. It took everything out of me not to go and scope the bar. While I was checking in I kept looking over my shoulder to see what they were doing. It was loud and humming with conversations among black people. Shit, admittedly I am on a subconcious mission. My roommate told me, as she was dropping me off at the airport, not to find any strange men. My response in true Samantha fashion was, "If I'm lucky!"...LOL! There will be a plethora of eligible, educated, fine, heterosexual black men at the convention and staying in this hotel from all over the country. I would be so lucky...or should I say...He would be so lucky!

So, I sit here at 10 in the morning drinking a cup of Joe trying to figure out what my plans are going to be for the remainder of the day. All of my co-workers get in town this afternoon, so I'm sure we will have lunch. Later tonight, the entire recruiting team from my company and our parent company are having dinner at McCormick and Shimcks. It's about 20 of us total. So, that should be interesting and a networking opportunity within itself.

I'll holler at you guys later...

Breathe...

That's what I finally feel like I'm able to do. I had to take a week to regroup after returning from Baltimore only to be on my way to ATL tuesday for 5 days. This will be a long post, so bare with me.

Baltimore

I had a really good time! I can't even front. We stayed in Glen Burnie, but partied at the Harbor. For those of you that live or have lived in Baltimore we went to The Garden of Eden and this club inside of The Belvedere Hotel. I got to eat some of the Maryland crabcakes that people brag about. They taste like any other crab cakes to me. LOL!

I must admit the Inner Harbor is a really nice area. The architecture of the buildings really impressed me. I met up with my girl Dora down there and we had lunch on Saturday while Dentist was at his seminar. Everyone was so nice. Being from Chicago and now living in Boston I'm not used to that. For example, I asked the waitress to point out the bathroom. Instead she decided to walk me all the way there. For a minute I thought she was going to grab my hand or something. The host was this flaming gay man that acted like he was part owner of the restuarant. Like his life depended on warmly greeting us and walking us to the table. I was very taken aback by the hospitality.

Don't get that experience twisted with what I saw in the hood. My boy took me to this hood joint to get some Lake Trout. Now, I'm from the Southside of Chicago. So, I've seen my share of crack heads, drug dealers and stick-up men. Nothing could have prepared me for this. Every other building was abandoned. I can't quite get with these buildings with 3 steps, a rail on one side and a platform for a porch. I think that's what got me the most. We get out the truck and instinctively I clutch my purse and start sizing *Africans* up. Dentist was laughing at me. Shhhiiitttteeedddd. He could laugh all he wanted to. I know my hood. I know what them *Africans* will or won't do and how they might try it, but this was unchartered territory. This one crackhead was standing by the door sizing me up, too. I could hear his mind thinking, "How can I snatch this bitch purse and get out the door before this Linebacker looking nigga gets a hold of me?" LOL! I guess he didn't figure it out because he stayed put.

Needless to say, it's a nice place to visit, but I don't want to live there.

Back to Reality

From the moment I stepped off the plane I was busy. We are bringing a new product to market and I'm heading up all the market research for the market, product, competitors, technology, etc. Call me the resident know-it-all on the subject. So, this week was a week of meetings with me presenting my findings to the VP of Consumer Products, the VP of our entire division of the company, my boss, the Product Manager and I also had a few meeting with the Doctors that are engineering the technology. Not to mention, I'm on a team of people that is trying to change some paradigms in the company. We have developed and are now entering the implementation stage of a company wide program that will change the way my company addresses certain issues. I know I'm being real vague, but hey...this is the internet... Anyway. As with any cross-functional team I'm on I end up being the Marketing/Communication go to person. So, I'm trying to wrap up some loose ends in that area. Then my boss comes to me and tells me that I'll be going to DC October 13th for the weekend to work at a tradeshow for Environmentally friendly products. That wasn't all bad news since that IS the weekend of Howard's Homecoming. I only have to work the booth that Sunday, so that gives me Friday and Saturday to myself to enjoy the festivities.

So, I get up Thursday morning at 5 to be in the office at 6 to make sure I have everything ready for the 3 hour meeting. Yes. 3. Fucking. Hours! I swear Corporate America meets to meet to meet! I woke up that morning with a full blown cold...achy, stuff head, stuffy but running nose. I was tired, I felt tired, I looked tired. After work I went to the hair salon for my bi-weekly appointment. Check this out.

As I'm pulling into the parking spot this guy comes and stands in it. It didn't register what he was doing so, I say, "Excuse me". This *African* had the nerve to tell me that I couldn't have the parking spot because his girl was coming around the block to get it. WTF! So, I continue to pull in. Of course, he stands there daring me to hit him and then turns his back on my car. So, I'm yelling all kind of obscentites and trafffic is starting to line up behind me. It's a one lane street on my side and half my car is in the spot and the other half is blocking traffic. So, I sit there. This white guy in back of me gets out and tells him to move. The ignant azz *African* is glaring at me and weighing his options.

Option 1: We sit there all day and the people in the cars lynch his ass. Ain't nowhere in this world is that right what he was doing unless she was backing into the spot and I swooped on her and took it. In this case. She was coming back around the block on Huntington at Mass Ave...for you Bostonians. Parking spaces are a dime a dozen and I wasn't budging. Hell, I was already late for my hair appointment! Plus, no cars were able to pass me. She would never make it around the block because our standoff had traffic backed up.

Option 2: Move his dumb ass out the way!

He took option 2 while he rolled his eyes at me. I parked my car and called the police in case this got ugly. I was having one of those bad days that made me wish a Nigga would pull it. While I'm talking to the police and he's still waiting on his girl to come around he throws juice on my car. LOL! I laughed, literally and told him thanks my car needed that...You know that pissed him off even more. She finally pulls up in her Lexus and he jumps in. The entire time I'm taking down her license plates number in the event I come out and my tires are slashed or something silly like that. Needless to say, nothing like that transpired. I got my hair done, went home and took some medicine and went to bed.

I wake up Friday with a visit from Mother Nature! What a way to end a week...

Saturday, my girl E has a quasi-surprise birthday dinner at this 5 star restaurant named Excelsior...if I'm spelling it right. She knew that some people were coming, but she didn't know that Tiff had got 10 of us together to surprise her. We went to the kind of place where the men have to wear suit jackets to sit in the dining room and everyone is dressed to the 9's. The restaurant even had the nerve to have an elevator in it to take you between floors. I was impressed. It was a wine tasting dinner where they paired a different wine with each meal for each course. For all the courses you had 2 options to pick from all the way down to the dessert. This was a $100 meal. No bullshit. I spent $100 on dinner that came with 3 glasses of wine. It felt good being able to sit at a table of black people that were able to come together and look at all these white people like, "Yeah, we got it like that, too!". The service was exceptional. I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon... Let's keep it real. A $100 usually is dinner for 2 with all courses and a few hard drinks. It's something to do every once in awhile as a treat.

After we left there we walked around the corner to Whiskey Park for a few more drinks and to close the night out. Of course, I ended up at Chau Chow City to get me some good Asian food at 3 in the morning...LOL!

So, how was your weekend?

I Hope There Will B-More in B-More...

...Than Fayatte Street and Hilltop...That's a reference to The Wire if you didn't catch it.

Your girl is on her way to Baltimore this weekend for an impromptu visit. Jet Setter is my middle name. One of my friends is on the East Coast for a Dental Conference and asked me to fly down to kick it for the weekend. He and I have been friends for a few years. We met in Boston while he was here completing his dental residency. He's a very positive brother that has been nothing but encouraging to me and my goals. You know the person that you can bounce ideas off of and pick his brain. He talks to me about his issues and vice verse. He moved to Houston last year soon after we met to start working at a clinic and then to open his own practice. He just opened his practice in May, so I'm looking forward to celebrating his successes this weekend. He always tries to get me to fly to Houston or meet him wherever he is on business, but my schedule is usually full or I'm out of town already. It just so happens that I'm free this weekend.

Anyway, The conference ends today, so we'll have the rest of the weekend to party, bullshit and catch up. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to take a free trip! I'm so bad. I've never been to Baltimore, so I'm looking forward to adding it to my list of visited cities. Not to mention, I talked to my girl Dora yesterday. You may remember her from earlier posts. She just moved to the Maryland DC area last week, so I get to drop in on her. Which reminds me...I need to call and tell her that I'm coming.

Am I silly for wanting to ride down on West B-More? You know that The Wire casts people straight from the city? For instance, I just found out that they got Felicia straight out of jail. You know the Boy looking Broad that bought the drill from the store? Her. I doubt I'm able to go over in that area, though. My boy is kind of bougie and probably won't want to troll the hood...LOL!

Anywhoo...

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend.

AIDS: Wouldn't U Want To Know?

****News Flash***News Flash****News Flash****News Flash****

This just in: Bobby and Whitney are getting a divorce!

About Damn Time! She will never be able to get it together while hanging up under his foolish ass. Although, I must admit that I thought they would last forever. Some people are happy in their disfunction. I guess she decided Enough Is Enough! Good for her.

***Back to the regularly scheduled programming***

AIDS:

My"Friend" (after reading Missy's post I decided that perhaps I should hide the identity) is in the process of evaluating different investment options. One being Whole Life Insurance. Well, as we all know...one criteria for getting any form of Life Insurance is an AIDS test. Do you know she had the nerve to tell the Agent that if she has to take the test she'll rather forgo getting the insurance. WTF! I couldn't make this shit up if I tried. I was sitting right there.

So, after she hung up the phone with him, her and I embarked on a conversation about the deadly disease and her philosophy. First, let me preface this by saying she has NEVER had an AID's test. According her, she'd be much happier just keeling over and dying then to walk around miserable knowing that she has AIDs or HIV. She feels like if she stays prayerful God will protect her. I didn't even ask her if she consistently practiced safe sex at this stage of her sex life. I was too taken aback by the ignorance of her beliefs. To be honest, if she still out here having sex unprotected and unwilling to get tested isn't that against the law or something? LOL!
Don't get me wrong. When I was a young adult...20-21...I felt like she did. I was ignorant and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I was also scared. Like her, I was getting insurance that my mother is paying for and I had to have the mouth swab. I took it and found out I was clean. But, at that time I told myself that if the test came back positive I would just be come a world activist. Not shying away from the disease, but embracing it and educating others. I still feel that way.

After the intial unplanned AIDs test I still didn't get one every year. It wasn't until I was 25 (same age my roommate currently is) and I realized how ignorant it was to hold those beliefs, but still have unprotected sex. That's when I started getting tested every year. I'm negative. Thank God. I had my last test in March 2006 and I feel good knowing that I'm healthy in all aspects.

I tried to convince her to get tested even if it's just for the piece of mind. There have been many advances in medicine to where a person could live a long and healthy life. I mean, don't we have an obligation to society to get tested and to protect one another? And, if we know that we haven't ever been tested or we know that the test is postive, don't we have an obligation to wear condoms? I'm no angel. I've slipped and had unprotected sex before. I'm human. The difference is that I don't have two worries...Did I infect them or did they infect me? I take responsiblity for my bad decisions and 6 months after the slip I'm heading to the doctor to get tested again. Life is too precious to take for granted. We cry over our friends, relatives and even strangers dying. Yet, we act so carelessly with our own lives. Why is that?

Tell me what you think...

Another Weekend Bites the Dust

I swear I need to step away from the alcohol, seriously. I'm going to put myself through a self imposed detox.

Friday:

Me and a group of friends (I was the only woman) went to Aria. We ended up at Aria by default. This Chick I know was having a going away party at Vinali. Before I could make it there I got a call saying no one really showed up, so my boys were bouncing and rolling to Aria. I looked at J, shrugged my shoulders and said F it I'm already out the house. Mind you, I haven't been to Aria in well over 2 years. Aria was always at the bottom of the barrel to me, in regard to it's patrons. It was always too crowded and too hoodrattish. Then they always have this unclassy ass fashion show in the middle of the club. They literally cut the music off, people come out half dressed, then they turn the music back on and everyone starts partying again. WTF! This is not Chicago or NYC where the clubs close at 4. Boston clubs close at 2, if you're lucky and don't even start cracking until close to midnight. I don't have time to be watching these hoes and suspect Africans...I got to party and bullshit as long as possible to make it worth the $15 I paid to get in.

Nonetheless, I ended up at Aria.

Soon as we walk in we head straight to the bar in the back. I get a shot of Tequila and a Grey Goose and Pineapple (my signature drink). Then we head back into the main room. We spot my boys and go post up near the bar to the right. I must admit that the crowd wasn't that bad. There were a lot of young people, though. I attribute that to the fact that school just started back. But, at least they were easy to look at. Can anyone tell me the fasination with the Chicken Noodle Soup Dance?! I thought that was some dumb ish that was flying around the internet on Youtube. I never imagined that this dance or song would catch on...not until they played in the club and idiots were actually standing there talking about, " Let it rain and clear it out"! LOL! I'm so disappointed in us... Other than that nothing really interesting happened. After leaving the club we went to Chau Chow City and I had some of the best Chinese food I've had in a long time...

Saturday:

My Girl DrinkMaker came in town. So, I decided to throw an improptu party at my spot. WTF? It was Saturday...why not. I just moved into a big place and I love to socialize, so everyone came over. Shout out to Missy, Pops, Skinny G and Con 1 for coming through...the Boston Blog La Familia....Especially Missy. She was all glittery ready to hit Vertigo. All night I kept trying to get her stay. One minute it was 10 and the next minute it was 2 in the morning...LOL! Fun Times and hangovers.

It's weird. When you have a party at your house you feel like you can drink every thing in sight. Hell! You're at your house. Wrong. I got's to be more careful. There was a lot of good conversation, shit talking, drinking and game playing. That's right...games. I made everyone play Taboo...LOL! Damn. I should have taken pictures. That ish was funny as hell. Skinny tried to break my stereo with his no hooking up an Ipod to a stereo Ass! LOL! Just kidding :)

The party ended somewhere around 2 0r 3 in the morning. I really don't remember. After telling everyone good night all I remember is not feeling so well. I won't even get into all that. I'm just glad that I had an angel watching over me helping me make it through the night. I think I'm getting old for real. I can't hang like I use to. I'm going to have to step away from the hard liquor because it's not agreeing with me anymore. I'm feeling like a lightweight. I'm sitting here typing this at work with a headache and a queasy stomach. I spent all day Sunday on the couch going in and out of sleep.

Did anyone see the Wire???? Flavor of Love????

All I can say is WOW to both shows. Shit is about to get real hectic.

Reflections

When is enough, enough?

This question can be applied to every situation...

When is enough food enough?
When is enough sleep enough?
When is enough alcohole enough?
When is enough bullshit enough?

That's the question I've been asking myself a lot lately... Nothing really sparked this reflection. I just woke up Friday and said aloud, Enough is Enough!

Promptly, this revelation pushed me to clean out my closet. I didn't go around searching for things to throw away. I decided that my cleaning would have a passive aggressive feel about it. I decided to lay low like a rattlesnake and if something got in my way or I tripped over something then and only then would I strike. So, if you didn't call Friday, then you were spared hearing the truth about you. If you did and you said the wrong thing or inquired about my piss poor mood and I had beef then I told you what the issue was.

I know some of you are reading this and thinking, "Dynasty, that's how you end up saying things that you really don't mean or doing things that you would later want to take back." Wrong. Everything I decided to "throw away" in my closet were things that needed to go, but I just didn't have the strength to rid myself of them. So, I won't take it back. That's not my personality. If I said it, I meant it. I won't apologize. That's how I felt at the time. My feelings can change, but that's about it.

I think I offended someone Friday, though. I reread the emails and for the life of me I can't figure out why my realness offended that person. I mean...I did wish them good luck in everything they were trying to persue. He didn't even wish me the same. That hurt, but it let me know that I was right in my decision to sever the quasi-friendship...I mean, it never was much of a friendship to begin with. It didn't fulfill any purpose in me. I know that sounds mean. But, it's the truth....Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that that person is a bad person. That's not what I mean. This is what I mean....

Everyone is put into each other's lives for a reason. The reason could be for your growth or for theres. Once the reason has been fulfilled then it's time to move on. That goes for everything in life....relationships, friendship, work. I just think our "friendship" was meant more for them than for me. I can accept that and I know when to keep it moving. Such is life. A good friend pointed out to me that I may have grown in some way from the "friendship that really wasn't". (not his exact words, but what I took from it). I agree. So maybe my inital claim that I got nothing out of the friendship is untrue.

Being a friend or at least trying to be a friend and caring about a person fulfilled something in me. I tried to help him through his trials, but also helped myself in the process. Maybe that's why it was so easy for me to end the friendship. The reason for our meeting was more mine than his, so I was able to recognize the end. Hmmm...Growth. I like it. Just sitting over here thinking about all the situations I've endured that have shaped who I am has me excited about all the situations I have yet to endure.

So, to him I say, Thank you! Thank you for giving me the chance to grow. For showing me that I'm capable of giving and not just recieving. For allowing me to even be a part of that small section of your life...For trusting me with your emotions. But, Still....

Enough was Enough...

Food, Folks and Fun

What it do Blog Land?!

I'm back from Chicago. My original home. Thanks for all the well wishes. To all the "Inch High Private Eyes" : I AM FROM CHICAGO! LOL! So, I go home at least 6-8 times a year. I'm going home (Chicago) for Thanksgiving and Christmas. All you conspiracy theorist had my side hurting when I read the comments. I would have loved to see Robert while I was in town, but that wasn't the purpose of this trip or any other trip I've made to Chicago thus far. Please believe that if we "hook up" you all will be the first to know :)

Anywhoo...

I had a ball visting my family and friends. I spent a lot of time with my daughter. I pasted her picture below. I took the picture with my camera phone and for some reason it came out dark, but you should still be able to see it. She is damn near as tall as me and she's only 11. WTF? I guess I can't be too surprised. Her father is 6'6...LOL!

BZ: I gave her a lot of hugs and kisses. She started 7th grade last week at a new suburban school, so we spent a few hours going over her math to ensure that she was prepared and fully grasped everything she learned from 6th grade and the new math homework she had over the holiday. I'll be damned if they looked down on my inner city raised child as not having had a proper education.

Aside from hanging out with my family, I got to see my boy Japan. He and I have been in each other's lives for 10 years. We've dated off and on before I went to college, while I was in college and even since I've been living in Boston. We've both had other relationships. His ass was even engaged for a brief stint and I had a boyfriend for 3 years while in college. Through it all we have remained friends. Hanging out with him is like Linus and his blanket...comfortable. There are so many times that I come to Chicago and I'll just chat with him over the phone, but we won't connect because I'm busy. I mean, shit, I know a lot of people and try to spread my time out amongst my family and friends when I come home. Sometimes, I'll go home and won't tell anyone I'm in town. So, this weekend I decided to catch up with one of my oldest friends and paint the town red.

Thursday Night we went to this Sports Bar named Jordans on Maxwell. A nice chill spot near UIC's campus. I recommended to any die hard sports fans for football season. They have flat screens everywhere...all over the walls, in the booths and even in the bathrooms... The food was just okay, but the music and ambiance was worth it. Besides, all you need is some chicken and beer to watch a game.

Friday was me time with my family and neighborhood friends. People that I grew up with whose families still stay next door to me. My girl friend of about 15 years just bought a home and she had a housewarming party. Me and my daughter went to her house. My daughter and her daughter are bestfriends along with the daughter of this other girl I've been knowing for over 10 years. Funny how things work out.

Saturday, me, Japan, his boy Shaq (cause he's that tall, big and black) met up with his boy Football (I promise that's his real nickname) at the Chicago City Classic. Mississippi Valley State played Arkansas Pine Bluff in the battle of the bands at Soldier Field Stadium. Mississippi beat the pine off that Bluff. The score was like 10-0. WTF! On the other hand, Pine Bluff's band was the Shiznit! The cheerleaders seemed to be competition status. The band leaders freaked the ground and were sexy. The band was in sync with one another and with the music they were trying to imitate. Mississippi was WACK! The dancers were more like strippers. The cheerleaders looked like they were over doing cheers from grammer school. The bands uniforms didn't even match the football player's jerseys. What's that all about. We left when the game was over and opted to miss the band finale. I couldn't stand another minute of sitting out there in them damn seats. The Hawk was hovering over the city, so I was ready to go.

All the parking lots were jumping. I'm talking major tailgating. DJ's, speakers, BBQ grills, liquor and black folks peacefully having a good time. From the walk from the stadium to my boy who was camped out with the Que's, who had it rocking outside with the Omega Oil out the back of a uhaul and a DJ set-up, I ran into several people from college. All greek of course. Man I miss Chicago and I almost missed college. Seeing all the Old-heads and some Neo's of all Frat's and Sororities out there representing made me want to throw up my pinky and start strolling. LOL! I refrained, though. I grabbed me a cup of that Omega Oil, faded to the back and people watched to see who else I knew. When I finally did make it back to the car my phone was blowing up with people telling me that they heard I had just left and they were mad that they missed me. I'm over here smiling just thinking about it...LOL!

Sunday Night, me and Japan went to the Ice Bar for Football's birthday party. I really had a good time. I don't know how much I can stress that. There was a comedian on stage when we arrived and I promise he had to be the funniest comedian I have seen in a long time and that includes Charlie Murphy. I want to tell his jokes, but I think something may get lost in translation from the way I remembered the joke and how I actually type, so you'll have to take my word for it...LOL! Once the Comedian exited stage right, the DJ got it crunk. That's when all the hoochies who had been eyeballing the ballers decided to make their moves...LOL! Have you ever seen a golddigger in action? For real? That has to be the funniest shyt ever! Nothing like a Chicago rat for you! Japan and I took a picture at the club. You know how the man walks around the club all night with the expensive camera taking pictures that he produces in the back in under 10 minutes?! We took one of those, so I can't post it until I scan it...very low on my list of priorities right now. It may be a minute if at all. By the end of the night I was wasted. I love partying with men because they keep your glass full. As I was sipping the last of one drink, Japan was handing me another. LOL!

Needless to say, I slept in really late Monday morning. To my astonishment, I didn't even have a hangover... I spent Monday in and around the house trying to get the last moments I would with family seeing as though my flight left the following morning. My daughter and I played Monoply, watched TV, I combed her hair for school, ate all the good leftover food from when my mother cooked and chilled.

Tuesday, I was extremely sad to leave. Although, I always leave with nice parting gifts. My mother bought me some jewelry from the African fest, that I didn't get around to going to, and a big jar of Shea butter that she swears will cure anything. LOL!

There were a lot of people I didn't get the opportunity to link up with, but I'm sure I'll catch them next time.

So, how was your weekend?!
