Day-Time Television

So, I'm at home today-playing hooky from work. Not the good kind of hooky where you go shopping and chill, but the sick kind of hooky where you blow your nose all day and watch Jerry Springer and Maury...ugh!!!

Todays topic on Jerry is the same as always...I'm Sleeping with your "blank". Use your imagination. What is wrong with these people to make them get on there and air their dirty laundry like that? Jerry has gotten so bad that they sound the bell and the guest automatically start fighting...straight comedy. The audience is just as ignorant. After the guest humiliate themselves, they line up on stage to be laughed at, ridiculed and disrespected by the guest. What really trips me out is how at the end of the show Jerry trys to give a few words of Chicken Soup for the Stupid. Are you serious??? Are you fuking kidding me??? I'm not mad at Jerry, though...he gives us what we want...drama...someone elses drama to look at as we try to escape our own. After you watch his show you feel like your life or relationship isn't that damn bad.

Right after Jerry goes off Maury comes on. Same as always.."Is this is or is this ain't your baby"? Another explotative show with a twist. They are helping people...I guess. Again, I have to ask...what is wrong with these people? I'm talking about the people that know they have slept with 25 people in one month. You know there is a 1 in 25 chance that this man is the father and you're going to go on television and get a paternity test only to find out what you already knew...He is NOT the father. This is sad. Then you have the new girlfriend on the show defending the deadbeat with her all knowing powers. Because you know the new girlfriend knows everything (((rolling my eyes))) You stupid bimbo. If he is dogging her, what do you think he's going to do to you???? Oh, I forgot the new girlfriend has superhuman powers!

Times like this I miss Geraldo, Montel, Jenny Jones and Rickie Lake. Back then they used to have serious topics like..."My Man is a Pimp". You know, the real issues. Gimme a break.

Friends

Growing up my mother used to always tell me that I didn't have any friends. Not in a mean nobody likes you kind of way, but in a you need to watch your back kind of way. Back then I used to think she was tripping. I thought she didn't like my friends or she wish she had as many friends as I did, etc. Now as an adult that has been burned countless times, I see what she meant by that.

People ain't shyt...plain and simple. There is no other way to say it...men and women included. Right now I feel like the Mexican dude in Half-baked the movie. The one that quit his job at the burger joint..."Fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you, I'm out!" As a matter of fact, I think I'll tell a few people that tomorrow...

Tipping

So, this morning I'm watching Fox 25 news like I do every morning while getting dressed for work. They have a portion of the show called, "Let It Rip". Todays topic was tipping at restaurants. They were talking about how a lot of restaurants automatically put the tip on the bill and how some times the waiter/ess has to share their tips with the bus-boy...how 20% is standard, etc. Also, did you know that you don't have to tip on the liquor portion of your bill? That's news to me, too.... I may have to research that. I guess I'll call up the person that pulls all the other dumb rules out his/ her ass and ask what the truth is! (((rolling my eyes)) Anyway, I straddel the fence when it comes to the tipping debate....

My thoughts are this: When I go to a restaurant the waiter automatically starts with a 20% tip. Based on the service the tip can remain at 20% or fall to 0%...it's up to the waiter. I'm not the type to blame the waiter for my food being nasty and things like that, but I do hold the waiter responsible for his/ her attitude and behavior. One thing I base my tip on is promptness. If I ask for bacon on my salad and I have to wait 10 minutes to get it I have a problem with that. And, anyone that knows me knows that I am not above telling a waiter what I deem is wrong with his/ her service or the restaurant for that matter. For example, I recently went to P.F. Changs (Word to the wise: Never eat there! The food is horrendous!) Anyway, the meal was nasty and the waitress was average. In my mind she was only getting a 10% tip. Her attitude was pleasent, but her service was second-rate. At one point during the meal I asked her to bring me more sauce...easy enough, right? WRONG! 5 minutes pass and I look up and she's standing by the bar running her mouth with my sauce sitting on the tray next to her. So, I walk over tap her on the shoulder and politely ask is there a reason why I haven't recieved the sauce she clearly has sitting in front of her. Of course, she stammered out an apology, but whatever. So, at the end of the meal she asks us was the meal okay and I tell her that I'm glad she asked because as a matter of fact the food was horrible! She politely said...Sorry to hear that. I'll take it off your bill. Due to her act of kindness (because she didn't have to do that) her tip went up 5% :) Don't say, why not the full 20%! Remember she was the same chick that left my sauce sitting on a tray while she bumped her gums!!!!!!

Another thing I base my tip on is the waitresses abilty to deal under pressure. I know that may seem mean, but I didn't tell them to pick that profession. Whatever the attitude of the patrons, the waiter should be able to rise above and offer the best service they can.

But, the question of the day is....Why do waiters get paid below minimum wage??? If someone can answer that question I'll give them a dollar! I mean, we shell out $50 a meal and sometimes more and the restaurant can't afford to pay these people adequate salaries. It's a racket I tell you. Therefore, I refuse to feed into the whole tipping hoopla. So, from now on I am going to start cooking!!!!! Ok, ok, I'm just playing, so stop laughing. But, I am going to at least learn how to cook, so that I can keep my 20% to myself!!!

Black People Do Burn!

I am sitting at my desk peeling. Peeling? You ask...

I just got back from a wonderful vacation. A 4 day cruise to the Bahamas with an unexpected night in Orlando. I had a ball with my boy Paparrazi and his family, and my girl PNP...I jet skied (something I have never done in my life) drank pina-coladas out of coconuts and everything. Must of all I got a hellafied tan. Honestly, I should have worn sun block, at least on my face...but, I didn't. I was thinking like, "ok, I'm light-skinned...not white, so I should be cool". Hell, when I went to Aruba I didn't burn, so what gives?!?! I know what it was. I set my grown azz on the deck of the boat for 6 hours drinking Miami Vices, taking pictures and talking shyt. The day before that we were on the beach laying in the sun and playing in the ocean for about 4-5 hours. I was oblivious to the effects that the sun was having on my skin. I probably won't get rid of this tan until next year. When my roommate picked me up from the airport, she said that she almost didn't recognize me. So, I guess it was worth. I like the tan, I just wish the damn peeling would stop. Got me walking around the office looking like a burn victim...LOL! I mean even my lips got burnt and Lord knows I can't mess up the luscious! Aloe and Coco butter have become my new best friends!

There is a first for everything and you can believe that it won't happen again. I'll still sit on the beach or deck drinking Miami Vices, taking pictures and talking shyt... I'll just be doing it in a hat with some sunblock on!

Where should I start....

For starters, setting up this blog is the worst. I mean...I have been trying to configure the style of this stupid thing all day. I'm addicted...almost like when you start playing the Sims...you can't stop. I posted, deleted the post and everything! Geesh...

Anyway, a little about me for those of you that haven't figured out it's ME. I'm CrAzY, Sexy and Cool! And if you don't agree, then you really don't know me. I have a temper to be reckoned with, but that's because I wear my heart on my sleeve. I don't cry I fight...ok, ok...I fight first, then cry :)

I'm doing this blog thing because after reading other peoples thoughts it almost seems theraputic (sp). Let me clarify a few things...I already have a diary, so this will not be a place to read about my deepest darkest secrets. It's more of a place to see my my view on things. Things like life, people, places, events, experiences (mine and other peoples). In my opinion, there is nothing secret on the internet. Heck, I've stumbled upon a plenty of peoples blog who thought they were incognegro when in fact it's the opposite. So, with that being said...let the games begin...
